I don't think so, chances are that the leather will crack up and you'll be left with a damaged & uncomfortable chair.
Funny but I want to change the colour of my leather sofa too. If you find an answer before I do, let me know.
Additional:
YES!!!! Found something....
'Furniture Clinic' website has a Colourant Kit which is used and recommended by professional upholsterers in both the furniture and automotive trade.
They have a colour chart to choose from.... ie White, Dark Grey, Black, Brown, Maroon, Bordeaux, Navy, Green etc.

gray with a contact of blue to it. How darkish relies upon on your lights and room length. If tremendous and nicely lit i'd use a number of colors darker than the taupe so the taupe seems gentle and gives you comparison. comfortable white for trim. steer away from all browns and yellows because the taupe received't look sturdy with them

You'll need to use acrylic paint for this job. Make sure the chair is clean and dry before painting.

No the paint will crack and fall off. Quite franckly the best thing to do is buy covers for the chairs.

If you are going for a 'distressed' look then emulsion will do the job beautifully!
Alternatively go and buy a throw and some new cushions......

Ha ha, sure, if you don't like the colour once you've done it you can always scrub it off and start again, pink with purple dots seems popular right now.
