i need the equation for finding the surface area of a cylinder and triangular prism i also need the equation to find the volume of a triangular prism. Thanks in advanced!!

Cylinders/Prisms in general have a pattern where you find the base area and multiply it by the height.

In the case of the cylinder, pi r squared gives the base area and multiply that by h gives the volume. With the triangular prism, 1/2 base times height gives the area of the base which you multiply by the height to get the volume.

With surface area, you have to use regular techniques to find the area of the bases, sum those up and add it to the area of the sides. The area of the sides can be found by taking the perimeter/circumference and multiplying it by the height. In the cylinder's case, thats 2 pi r times the height. With the triangle, simply add up the three sides then multiply by height.

SA of cylinder is the area of the 2 circular bases plus the product of the circumference of the circle and the cylinder's height.

SA of a triangular prism is the area of the base times 3 plus the are of its 2 triangles.

For triangular prism:

Triangular prism
1/3(bh) (b = base width and h = height of prism)

= (circumference of the circle*height)+(pie*radius*sqaured)

volume of triangular prism
=base*height*length/2

Surface area of the cylinder = pdh + pr^2

where p is the pi, d is the diameter, h is the height, and r is raduis.

surface area of a cyclinder
=lateral area+2 times base area

S=2 *pi* r* h+2* pi* r^2
h=height
r=radius
pi=3.14

triangular prism= 2 times base area+h(a+b+c)
a,b,c are sides of triangle
h=height of prism

Volume=base area * height

to find the surface area for the cylinder, you need to square the radius then add the radius multiplied by the height, then multiply this answer by 2 multiplied by pi....
so you get
2 * pi (r*r + r*h)
