An important step toward stability in Palestine...but unfortunately not a step toward talks with Israel...Israel and US already said that they are not going to recognize a Palestinian government that Hamas is part of...Hamas ,when it came to power, offered Israel a 10 years truce ,which Israel refused from the start...Now Hamas is recognizing past Israel-Palestine agreements ...but Israel wants more:Hamas to recognize Israel...Well in 1993 the Palestinian people, through the PLO,recognized Israel in the border from 1967,giving up a major part of their land in order to have peace with them ...And that didn't bring anything good for the Palestinians. So why would Hamas do the same mistake?

Palestine doesn't have a new national unity government and they never will. Israel will never give in to Hamas and their intolerance of Israel's right to live. Nor will Hamas ever give in to Israel except that the sun rises in the morning and sets at night and Hamas is not sure about this. They are presently addressing the issue with the 72 virgins that are up in heaven who make the sun rise and set. Israel will NEVER give up Jerusalem so peace will never take place.

1) It will fail.
2) Hamas has NOT recognized Israel & has repeatedly said that it never will.
3) There is no possibility of a diplomatic solution as long as Arabs reject Israel's right to exist.

Any "government" who has Hamas included in it is a terrorist state. Israel is smart. They know better than to turn their backs on these Muslim terrorists, because they're tired of getting a knife in their backs.
