Well, this may make the burn spot less noticable.
Rub a paste of cigarette ashes and a little water over the burn.
It will likely lighten the color of the finish, but it will remove the gray. Then try, a product called 'Old English'. It comes dark or light whichever color your table finish is and just rub it in til the finish meets your expectations. It may not completely restore back to what it was, but it will make it a lot less noticable.
