This is a hormone designed only to be used by those that have a deficiency. It is only available legally on doctors prescription.

Taken in excess it is potentially cardiotoxic ( damaging to the heart) causing angina, cardiac arrhythmia's and palpitations. It will produce osteoporosis, muscle cramps diarrhoea, vomiting, tremors, excitabilty, insomnia, sweating and muscular weakness. Is that enough trouble for you?

Eat a balanced diet with plenty of fruit and veg.

Take a healthy amount of exercise 30-40 minutes of vigorous exercise per day 4-5 days a week. I hate to think what percentage of the UK population does that 2%? 5%?

I have seen hundreds of questions with this same pattern :- I am fat, tell me where on line I can get this super diet or herbal/dangerous/illegal drug that I hear will fix it for me in 10 minutes without the need for me to get off the couch!

No fixes pal , less in more out, its the only way.

The ones above that suggest eating 6 small meals per day rather than 3 large meals a day are right. 6 small meals per day that are no larger that what could fit in the palm of your hand. This keeps your metabolism going as you are constantly putting food in. Building muscle will increase your metabolism, and the more muscle mass you have, the more calories you will burn in general, even when you are sleeping. So try to use some weights at 2-3 times per week. Also, drink 2-3 cups of green tea per day. I dont know why, but it helps speed up your metabolism.

I wouldn't use that because from what others have said it does not sound like a good idea. Instead try taking a vitamin or supplement like B6. It helps boost energy and metabolism and will not have any side effects like the kind those people are saying with the thyroxine. Good luck.

Thyroxine accelerates the release of energy in the tissues. It derives its energy from combustion with glucose. With the accelerated combustion, breathing and circulation of blood are increased to meet the demand for oxygen; bodily and mental -- activity are stimulated. The body temperature rises.

If thyroxine flow is normal, the thyroid remains balanced. If it drops, the thyroid fails to maintain its energy. Too much thyroxine can create hyperthyroidism.

NO, taking any drug or medication with out your doctors consent is very dangerouse, it can do more harm than good. if you want too lose weight, try walking for half hour early morning and again at night make sure your heart beat is up above 120 beats a min, this is called a cardio work out. Besides that if you need to lose weight seek medical advice.

Thyroid disease is one of the most common health problems we face today. From a practical standpoint, there are many ways to approach this issue. Learn here https://tr.im/MoCr7

Hypothyroidism, or underactive thyroid, is a very common problem, and there are many reasons for this, including drinking chlorinated and fluoridated water, and eating brominated flour.

Chlorine, fluoride, and bromine are all in the same family as iodine, and can displace iodine in your thyroid gland.

Secondly, many people simply aren't getting enough iodine in their diet to begin with. The amount you get from iodized salt is just barely enough to prevent you from getting a goiter.

no, i wouldnt have thought so. my late mum took thyroxine for over 40yrs, as she had her thyroid burnt out years ago, and needed them to live, you should never mess around with things that can harm you
