This weekend I am going out on a boat with a friend and her husband. Another guy might be there as well. I have seen their boat. It has no toilet. How can I preserve my modesty when nature calls?

You can get a hilarious item called a "Lady Jane" from most camping/outdoor sporting goods stores. It is made specifically for ladies to pee in when standing up. It is basically a small trough (of course, the manufacturers made it in pink) that fits over the crotch. It has a small spout in the trough that aims forward. You don't even have to drop your pants. Just unzip a little, slide it in, aim where you want (I would recommend over the side of the boat) and pee like a man. Really, it's more funny than embarrasing. It is perfect for situations like you will be in. It's very inexpensive, and, more importantly, easy to clean. If you are not comfortable purchasing a "female to male pissing conversion apparatus," then go with the other suggestions, like peeing while swimming, holding it and risking a bladder infection, or asking to pull over in a secluded area.
Here's another option: Make sure everyone (except the driver) is drinking. Then no one, including you, will have any inhibitions. Just make sure not to pee in the boat, and don't go swimming. People drown from swimming drunk, but people do not mind public urination when drunk.

I have seen the guys pee over the stern, even in mixed company. For women its called the old oaken bucket which is emptied. We found that a 3 pound margarine container with cover could be squated over and used. Hopefully there is a below decks. I have been on boats that have a curtain. Swim is another choice. Be sure to go first and keep the liquid consumption low. But do not get dehydrated. Some boats have a portapotty that is not visable. Good luck

Most people have at least a bucket that you can use, some even have a perter potti that you can't see. It's only usually the women that use them, all of the guys usually just go over the back of the boat.

ask for the 5 gallon bucket, and a towel, don't be embarrassed, thats how life is on a small boat.

we just stop for a swim and go in the water. Be sure and keep your mouth closed in the lake because thats where the fish go potty to.

If you don't mind a man telling you there are items available which allow a lady to relieve the pressure while standing. It might be a bit late to obtain them now. Maybe your friend knows a technique.

Otherwise... swim.
That's all I can really think of! Honestly, we all do it... if you mention it to someone trustworthy, then maybe others will take up your cause out of their own necessity, and get you to a marina or a place where you can go.

Take a wide mouth jar with you, and tell them to turn their heads away. then empty and rinse it. Nature's call is the only one that can't go unanswered for long.

Find a secluded spot and have them pull up to the shore, or have them stop at a marina and do your business while they reload the beer cooler.
