dude, i seriously have no idea where you can get a leather briefcase for less than rm500. Another way of getting one is, if you know somebody who goes to argentina often. It is extremely cheap and available in those leather shop along florida street. U can get one for less than USD100.

One of my favorite place to buy leather when we travel to Malaysia is actually a shop called "Hidesign".Have bought several gifts there for my family & friends. They are not so pricey & u can get good bargains especially when they have sales going on.I bought several bags at an outlet in Metrojaya,Mid valley ( had to google the name for u..lol ) .U can check it out.Good Luck!

Go to one of House of Leather outlets, they have nice bags, briefcases, backpacks. They're specialised in bags.

KL >>> Low Yat Plaza - ground floor
Kuching >>> Wisma Tun Jugah - ground floor & 1st floor

It's way more expensive than Petaling street but at least you get something for your money. We're talking about imported goods, high quality, and I'm sure you'll find something withing your budget.
