and you have never had experience with one..and it was crying...and there was absolutely nobody else that you could hand the baby to...what would you do next?

and why?

I luckily was a nanny for many, many years..and loved it..parents taught me..and also raising my other little brother helped to teach me how to care for little ones!
I believe in singing soothing songs...and speaking to them...and telling them "hey! it's alright to cry....you just go right ahead,...but I am right here...for ya ,if ya need me...okay little buddy?"
I have "raised" a lot of little boys babies...a few girls...but, I love them all!

I can only speak about where I am from, but here there are safe baby programs where you can drop children off, no questions asked and no charges asked and they will take care of the child and find it a home.

Good luck.

Put the baby down somewhere out of the way and ignore it. I hate filthy little human-maggots...... If a parent is irresponsible enough to force their baby onto me then they're not fit to have a child at all... and it is only for legal reasons that I wouldn't kill it on the spot to reduce potential competition in future.
It is safe to say I am definitely a health-hazard to other peoples' babies.

Call or take it to the nearest police station. I would not want to endanger the baby by trying to do something to help it and get it wrong. The police have people to take care of any age of child at the drop of a hat. If I couldn't do that, I would try to comfort it, try to clean it up, and if that didn't stop it from crying, I would try to find out what to feed it-Post a question on Yahoo Questions immediately and ask for help. What about you? Good question!!

Pat it on the back, hold it close to me and tell it I would take care of it. Then I would change it's diaper, feed it and look into it's eyes and keep telling it I would take care of it and love it.
Because that is what babies need - love, care and assurance

I'd be smart enough to follow that somebody before they leave and give them their baby back , cuz if I had no experience with babies , the baby would end up dead !

if I couldn't follow him I'll teach myself to care for the baby cuz I can't leave him like that . we all have instinct and probably my instict will tell me to try to feed him or get him to sleep.
it wont be that hard

Check the baby into a hospital to make sure it's o.k. With no knowledge of the baby or it's medical history I would not chance getting sued for doing something wrong.

I would go see if I can keep it... legally....

If yes, I keep it.... I would love to have a son/daughter...

I just love the idea of rasing a human being... and trying to raise it to be the best human on earth haha!

----------------
If you are asking instead what would I do about the crying part then:

If he/she is crying.. then I would check the diaper and if necesary change it.... If not, then feed him/her, sing a song... Any of those things have to work.... and I talk about experiences I have had...

I'd call 911. I'm not equipped emotionally or financially to deal with a baby.
