I have never met a celebrity

The kindest most gentle person I have ever met is Chuck Connors of the Rifleman television show. He talked to me like I was an old friend and we talked about many issues for over an hour.

The worst I ever met was Paul Simon. It was 1965 and he was barely popular in America, and I was at an autograph party in Hollywood. He refused to sign an autograph and was very obnoxious. On the other hand Art Garfunkle was extremely gracious.

I knew Nell McAndrew was going to be at a charity event I was invited to. So I took with me a picture of a friend who was a big fan of hers and when I spotted her, I went over and asked her to sign it. She was about to go up on stage to present an award and she was being prepped by someone, but she graciously took the time to sign the picture and even to get her picture taken with me.
I've also met Lionel Ritchie, Sir Bobby Robson and Barry McGuigan and all of them were really pleasant. So thankfully my experience with celebrities has been really positive so far. I just hope I don't bump into Pete Doherty or Liam Gallagher!

Worst was Denise Van Outen when she was dating Nick Moran, the pair of them had no manners, and went out of there way to make people feel less important than them. I met her a few times after that too, and she was even worse, she is not a nice girl at all.
The best is always Chris Akabuski (I have no idea hiow to spell it), he is a huge man, and the friendliest most pleasant famous person I have ever met. he is hilarious and goes out of his way to make people feel comfortable, lovely man.

I met June Brown(Dot from Eastenders) in our local bingo hall where she was a guest caller. Afterwards, she came to our table and chatted to us for about 10 mins. and we found her so down to earth and very pleasant. She was still puffing away at those king size fags. I also met Ciaran Griffiths(P.C. Gary Best from The Bill) in my taxi but he seemed rather shy and withdrawn.

I have met a couple of footballers in Melbourne. Dennis Pagan, Dipper, Ron Barassi and quite a few others from various clubs. I have found them all to be friendly towards me when I approached me. So I have nothing bad to say about any of them whatever club they were from

as a child I was in a mob that surrounded Cliff Richard and I remember pulling at his hair in a frenzy. I actually grabbed a handful of hair and pulled it out! To his credit, althugh his face was contorted in pain and he was probably scared senseless, he didn't swear or use bad language! However, what he said later, in private, away from his fans, might have been altogether quite different!

Daniel Radcliffe. Despite his young age and the huge amounts of fame and publicity he has to deal with, he is one of the sweetest, most grounded people I have ever met. A real sweetpea :o)
