I see so many questions asking what are we doing to Empower women? Why??? How are women not empowered? They have every advantage over men in this country what more to women want utter and total dominance??? This isn't 1920 any more and guess what WE ARE EQUAL!!! Actually women have the upper hand what more do they want???? What do you all think???

Women want total dominance because men are too quick to run loose!!! The issue is not 'empowering women.' I think the love of many has gone cold, both for the self and for others and therefore 'victims' abound. Our society is generally disintegrating, that's the main problem. Men can't carry babies in the womb just like women don't have testicles to carry the sperm. We have different functions in life but the fact is that we each try to do the others job.

Okay, things aren't as bad as they were. And if you treat women with any kind of respect, it can be bewildering for you about why there needs to be more awareness. But with countless women who are sold on the black-market into sexual slavery, or girls who become circumcised , it isn't equal at all.
Add to that the western exploitation of women and near constant attacks on women's self esteem. More women live at or below the poverty line than men because there are more female single parents. This is not having "the upper hand", my dear.
Women are also more likely to be killed by their spouses than their male counterparts, and more likely to be subjected to domestic violence than men. And how many men get raped in a year? Do you think it's a higher number than women? Uh, yeah.
But thanks for asking. It might seem like women have it all, but don't buy that hype.

mithril, that has nothing to do with their position in society, but their physical bodies which they cannot escape. Dirt bags pick more on women (esp if the dirt bag is a woman), because women can't defend themselves as well. That has to do with the way God made them, if you don't like it, take it up with Him.
Their are more single mothers than fathers because women nearly ALWAYS get child custody!!! That says the exact opposite of what you meant!
In this culture, people are taught that men are subhuman inferiors, and men feel guilty just about being men. Women have no respect for them and women are given preference in everything - jobs, enrollment in schools, everything. People are pushing more and more to make men a sub class of society like the blacks used to be. We took great steps forward with the civil rights movement, and now are taking bigger steps backward!! We are even more predjudiced now than we used to be!!
We are actually just hurting women by our policy also (sure were hurting men more, but women get it bad too). Not only are we forcing so much on them, but by degrading our culture and doing things like legalizing all kinds of porn that is supposed to make women "free", and by making men feel guilty about themselves, we are not raising a society with men anymore. We are raising a society with disgusting, dangerous, degraded, perverts with testicles and no self esteem. Men need women, but women need men also. By women not allowing men to be men, they are getting rid of something that they need very much. God created humanity in two parts, man and woman. You can't have humanity without both.
Noone should be empowered, there shouldn't be the two political and social sects of "man and woman", it should be one, "human".
P.S. mithril, stupid men are the ones who allowed thing to get to the point that they are at now, the ones who gave women their power. They obviously are not that bad...just gullible. (no, I am not saying that there are not bad men, but that men are not bad.) They don't deserve to be treated the way they are being treated now.
