I take the hormone tablets of my birth control pill continuously so as to not get my period. I did this because nothing was helping and I was losing ten days of my life every three weeks.
I have medical advice that this is not harmful but would like to hear from others as to their expirience

I take the birth control pill (as of the last 10 years) where I take just the hormone pills so as not to have a lot of periods because of endometriosis.

Some drs saying taking the pill continuously is safe, others say it is not. This has been debated for as long as I've had endometriosis and it will continue to be debated for some time to come.

I was concerned about the safety issue at first too til my dr told me it was ok.

Because you are having issues with your period I would recommend going to the gyn to see if they can help you find the cause and rule out things such as endometriosis.
