There are alot of idiots out there who claim that they know alot about a subject matter while in fact they practically know nothing... Worst part about it, they sometimes distribute their wrong information or knowlegde to other people as well.. My question is how are we to know whether the person who gives us the information are reliable or not??

How do we know if the people reporting the news are reliable? Or, our teachers or leaders or textbooks are knowledgeable? I have read so many history books that look legit but when you actually check out their references sited, the author has blatantly lied and made up many of the references or sources! It's VERY common. I am so surprised by that. I always sorta thought publishers did a thorough job of checking out an author's sources. They don't. The news, of course, is slanted because the media is not a public service. It's a commercial enterprise with wares to sell. Teachers are just like anyone else. They don't know everything. So, it boils down to a soup of opinions, basically. It's foolish to believe that there are some people who have the"one-and-only" correct opinion. As easy and comforting as it may be to believe in "risk free" advice, there is no such thing, from ANY source. I make it a habit in my own life to collect several viewpoints/positions/opinions/versions/etc. and then form my own notions of reality.

In research its easy. Published articles of information or knowlegde that has been peer-reviewed by well-known journals would be considered as credible info to use. The info you get can be trusted.

On the other hand Mannatech's research on Ambrotose(sugar tablets that's suppose to cure anything) is a load of crap. They also has a few research articles that "proves" it works, but all this research took place at only 1 facility (sponsered by Mannatech!!!) with 1 group of researchers. Mmmmm...... A clear indication that something is fishy.

Now lets deal with religion. If someone tells you something (religion-related) and you are unsure whether it is true or not, go to the Bible. If the statement doesn't fit with scripture then you can safely reject it, but if it fits with scripture then you can gladly accept it.

The bottom line is don't believe everything you read, including yahoo answers. This is just a game, and opinions are like certain kinds of holes. Everyone has one. To judge whether one is smart or one is from an idiot is up to the reader. Everything is relative. Don't sweat the small stuff. In other words, don't lose sleep over it.
