I think the future of PHP will be good as it is getting matured day by day. And the number of websites being developed using PHP is also increasing. Other good organizations like Oracle is also working with zend for some bundled solutions.
Similarly there was once a news that microsoft has launched a project to provide support for PHP for IIS or something similar.
