project management?

i just got a question, this is for my exam tmr, and the question is why is project management important in sports and why is project management important in training program of an athelte. I got some answers but i need more. Thanx a lot, hope somebody would help me pls pls.

Project Management is used everywhere, it is used to deliver a specific project or achieve a product.

The product in this case being a specific sporting goal.

Project Management can be called other things - resource management or time management. In fact both form part of PM.

I could go on for hours but I think you should get the idea.
