You're going to think I'm ignorant, but I don't really care, because I'm curious:

I'm not British, I've moved here from America a bit over a year ago, and this is the second time I've heard of red nose day. What is it... when is it? I know it has something to do with charity. How can I participate, and in what ways?

Red Nose Day symbolises Sids for Kids.

Raising money for Sudden Infant Death Syndrome.

We have it here in Australia too.
