if u used bit torrent then open the bit torrent client program (the program you downloaded the file through, not the web page you got it from). The file you downloaded should still be in the queue showing as 100% downloaded and that you are now seeding it to other users.

Right click on that file and there should be a link to open the file and/or open the containing folder. Voila!

If the file isn't there then take a look in the options menu off of the top menu bar and there should be somewhere in that section that lets you select where downloaded items are stored. From that you can manually locate the folder, and change it to a folder you'll find a lot easier in the future.

If you still have problems then e-mail me with which client you use for Bit Torrent and I'll look into it further as to where that particular client stores its files for you

If it's a movie, it's likely to be 100's MB big so try doing a search against file size being more than say 300MB over your whole hard drive(s). That should only bring back relatively few files and you would be able to go down the list with a fine tooth comb.

Repeat the steps you have done to download and check the placement of the target folder. If your downloaded file still exists, likely a message will appear asking you whether to overwrite.

Hope it helps.

If you can't find it with your search facility, I would say it's no longer on you hard drive.
Try going online and looking in history, or look in your settings to see where the default save file location is set at.

It's usually a good idea to preview the movie (if you can) while it downloads so you can be sure that it isn't just blank, etc. And you really shouldn't download bloody films for your daughter...
