Non violent solutions should always be pursued in this author's opinion. I'd even go further and say they should be pursued first in most cases.

However, some people you just can't reach. Some people, brainwashed and indoctrinated into violent extremist methodology and intolerance...conversation is pointless. You cannot convince a man or woman to pursue peace who is willing to die if only for a chance to wound you.

For them, words are useless. Violence is their language. Start shouting.

The problem is, we cannot easily or readily those who will talk versus those who will not.

Starting wars? Sorry you lost me. Yes i agree it would be great if our problems could be solved using means other than war,,,,but it would have required mass deportation of illegals rather than the stampede that is still going on. I think we should blame the immigration services and hold them responsible for all the murders committed by anyone they let pass. That's a start in the "solution to our collective problems".

Oh yes, we should sit down and have a dialogue...and when we are finished, we can have a great big group hug and sing Kumbaya. What a perfect world.
When don't our leaders seek non-violent solutions in the beginning anyway? That approach fails most of the time.

Your fears are misplaced. Don't worry so much. Sometimes you have to fight to protect yourself.

Fact is, we sufferred a lot of death and destruction by trying the non-violent approach . . .and we did try the non-vionlent approach for a long, long time.

A war existed long before we actually started fighting back. It takes the agreement of both sides to end a war. It cannot be done unilaterally.

Yeah, non-violent solutions really work, don't they?

North Viet Nam signed a treaty promising not to invade the South when we left. We weren't even out yet when their army crossed the city limits of Saigon

What do you expect them to do when they all have communication problems in planet of apes.
We have one communicate in one universal language and one speech while the other in ghostly kitchen's dialect from the graveyards of different ancestor's custom that ended with misinterpretation., miscommunication, communication failures with communication break-down and ended up in thorwing pots and pans of ancestor's custom from a woman 's kitchen in planet of apes.

Disputes must be settled amicably without using war because nobody wins in a war. Destruction and chaos are the surest things to happen in a war.

Everyone wants peace, the reason there are wars is that
no one can make up their mind on how this could be achieved
without arguing, as anyone peace is the way forward, but
sometimes you need to go to war if civilian populations are
threatened.....................................................................................
