Quite the vague question, but I'd have to go with the walkman simply because iTunes eats my balls.
You'd wonder how software that was so counter-intuitive would still be so popular and yet it is. Hype marketing triumphs over sound judgement yet again.
Compare with the simple operation and ease of use of the walkman: If you can't use the Ipod to it's fullest than either you are stupid or the Ipod is, and in most cases, the latter applies.

IPod, no doubt!! You can't watch a whole lot of videos on a Walkman nor can you hold that many songs!! You can't download Podcasts or TV shows either for that matter. Definitely the IPod. I love mine!! What about you? Thanks for asking!!

iPod for the ease and choice of music
But....
Walkman (with the pre-set radio) just cause they were so funky and trendy.

it has to be the Ipod. those choosing the Sony are only doing it because they have something against Apple, not because the ipod is a bad product.
Im sure they are both good really.

for coolness/goodness, the walkman. for convenience, the pod. the music matters more.
