my play station 2 console plays demo game provided with console plays properly but doesnot play other pirated games
my playstation games was bought from uk.the pirated dvds play well with my friends console . and also my console play movies also well but not games. plz help

Its probably because
u dont have a MODCHIP installed and you are playin pirated CD's
There are 2 ways to solve this problem
get a MODCHIP installed in ur console
or
buy original PS2 CD's

Check the region information on your console and the games you're trying to play. Consider PAL and NTSC differences. Also, try checking if the other cds you're trying to use are genuine PS2 discs. Stick to the original stuff I always say.
If you are, however, trying to play pirated CDs then go ahead and have a modchip installed. Make sure you have a person with good hands do it or if you're confident with your soldering skills, you can do it yourself. Word of caution thoug, this usually voids the warranty of your console.

the only psthree that performs ps2 video games is the 60 GB psthree because of the fact it is the only one with backwards compatibility. in case you have the forty or eighty GB then it won't play the PS2 video games.

you could try to run a disc cleaner through your ps2 to clean the lens reader.
