In all likelihood, only the very rich and the very famous will be cloned. These clones will not be as loved or respected as their "real" counterparts, and may not even be viewed as humans, likely stemming from a particularly poor acting performance by Clone Tom Cruise.
But seriously, there will probably be a huge reaction from religion stating that "we can't play God," and clones will probably be looked at as inferior because of their artificial origins. Other moral debates would wage over who should be cloned, and why. It would also be quite interesting to see what kind of career/religion Clone Tom Cruise would pursue, if given both similar and different career experiences than real Tom Cruise. But this raises further questions....

In philosophy you said.... Well very simple....
The word "IDENTICAL" will finally be used correctly for humans in philosophy explanations, theories, opinions, etc. etc...
Right now there is not such thing as IDENTICAL when trying to compare two human beings...
If clones are made, there would be a at least IDENTICAL natural match of any person...

I almost forgot..... philosophy has a lot to do with creationist and religious people... clones would be seen differently... maybe without a soul (because people tend to say that we are "playing to be god")
If we are say to create life like Gods... then those lifes will not have the soul religious and creationist think we have.... The soul is a interesting subject... and it would be even more impacted by clones being made...

There already are clones of human beings.
They're called "identical twins", and don't usually cause any philosophical problem.
They are completely separate individuals, just with the same genetic pattern.
