i had my period a few weeks back and this last week i've been under a lot of stress (my boyfriend and i split)and last night when we were "saying goodbye" as it were, i started bleeding heavily-but its not like period blood and I am also suffering chronic stomach pains. Is this all stress or could it be a miscarriage?

Having suffered with miscarriages my self, please go to the doctors or local walk in centre and get checked out.
The local walk in centre is your best bet, or you could phone up the hospital and they would give you the best advice.

When you say its not like period blood what do you mean? Is it big jelly like clots, if it is you could have torn slightly
If its just heavier than normal but free flowing blood like a period, the chances are the stress has just caused you to come on a bit earlier than normal. Are the 'chronic' stomach pains like period pains?
If you were pregnant, it could only have been 1 week if your last period was 3 weeks ago.
Go the docs if you are worried.

Stress can cause that. You should see a doctor though to be sure as severe bleeding and stomach pain that is abnormal can be a sign of fibroids (sp) or a miscarriage.

dear friend
you need to visit your gp and you have to do abdominal ultrasound scan, your doctor must examin you carefully to know whats going on with u and if all tests and physical examination are negative then this can be due to the pchycological stress.
