Wild game is described as gamey. What does this mean? I don't eat meat so please describe it as best as you can. Does it mean stinky? Or bitter?

i tastes like the outdoors smells, clean, good... not bland and plain like white bread, tastier like honey wheat bread...

Gamey is a term used to describe a taste unusual to the person , Deer meat doesn't taste like beef. wild duck is stronger or more flavorful than farm raised duck. we as a nation have gotten use to mild mass produced meat.wild meat has a different diet and is stronger tasting. In most cases gamey actually tastes better.
