When I finished high school, I thought that being a secretary would be wonderful. I originally worked as a personal secretary and later moved on to an attorney's office. I was miserable. My favorite job was that of a switchboard operator, I got that job about four years after school. My dream job ended up being that of a stay-at-home mom ,which I've been doing for almost 20 years. It's more stressful and demanding than those office jobs, but I love being here for my children.

My course is law related, it took me 2 years before I got into a Legal Department. But my first years were really hard, after 10 years in this department I can say that this is my dream job! I now lectures in the regional offices for my craft as Investigator, and I really felt I am fulfilled now!

I have had two careers and they were both dreams come true. I was a florist and a realtor. They were both lots of fun and I loved them both. I was doing arrangements for my family and friends so I decided I should go to school and learn what to really do so I did. then my health started getting worse so I was looking for a job that was less stressful so I went back to school and learned to be a realtor. Both were really a lot fo fun and this was over a 30 year period and then I was so sick that I had to take retirement. I feel that I am pretty lucky having two jobs that were perfect for me.

I decided my "dream job" was to be a police officer when I was in 6th grade, I remember telling some kids that I wanted to do that. So I was 21 when I finally started.
I guess about 10 years, give or take.

Hmmm...it still doesn't seem real to me. I was told I may never have children. Now here I am, 2 years later with my son who is about to turn 2 the end of this month and his sister who is almost 9 mo old. I think I'll finally come to terms that I am actually a mother when its time for them to move out and I would be all alone again. *sigh, if only we could keep them babies forever...

I could never settle on what I wanted to do for sure. I fell into mental health work, and I love it. I get to work with great people, and help make their lives a little better each day. Its a very rewarding job, and I'm happy doing it.

Before I graduated from college, I've already planned to work in advertising. Soon after I graduated, I moved to the capital city and work in ad agency untill now. So, the answer is depend on how bad you want it. If you try harder, I'm sure you will reach your goal sooner.
