Nikki E, the oldest university in Asia is the University of Santo Tomas located in Manila, Philippines. It is better known today by locals as UST. The university was founded in 1611, during the Spanish colonization era of the country, as the College of the Holy Rosary. It became a university in 1645, even predating Harvard by 25 years.
