I do have a computer and wear glasses while using it, not to ruin my eyes. I noticed when i used my old CRT-Monitor i always had dust particles on my glasses after .. lets say an hour or so. I thought this is cause this crappy™ Monitor works like some sort of particle accelerator first attracting dust and then peppering me with it.
Now i changed to a really expensive TFT-Display, and i thought this dust phenomena would stop... But its still covering dust...

Ok i do have a fuzzy carpet and because i know that i use my vacuum cleaner on it ONCE A DAY. Sooooo

question: Does a TFT attracts and accelerates dust towards you ? What are your experiences ?

Never had this problem with any type of monitor and i wear glasses too.Maybe you stay to close to the screen and get the static? U should stay at least 50cm away and the bigger the screen the bigger the distance.By the way you look great :) Take care those beautiful eyes!

Dust occurs everywhere everyday everytime. It is not becuase of using a specific type of monitor that "produces" dust. If your locality is close to a factory or an industry plant you're room is deemed to be filled with dust. Not only your room but your computer your carpet etc... By changing your monitor screen from CRT to TFT it may make your browsing experience more pleasurable and may create a cushion of comfort to your eyes but the dust will keep coming. In short the monitor has nothing to do with the dust particles in your room.

electron theory - your glasses are being cleaned (every so often) and by wiping them you are creating a static charge on them. (very slight). The monitor has a very large static charge on it due to the electronic nature of display systems.
The dust acts like iron filing between two magnetics.

All electrical equipment attract dust . This is due too the alternating currant which causes a fluctuating magnetic field around wires, monitor screens.

Consider the fact that your fans are circulating more air around your PC than elsewhere in your house. This keeps dust on the move!
