I liked someone, but we weren't together. We stopped talking completely because I had told him I had to move on because he was not able to express how he felt about me, months after I confessed my feelings. He has a lot of emotional insecurities and relationship issues and I didn't want to run the risk of hurting him when he has already suffered. He also drinks excessively. I don't believe he took it well though because he reacted irrationally and resentful. He told me he didn't care and he hoped that I found "someone like me," whatever that means. I was hurt but was only helping because I thought he didn't care. It's been several months since we've last spoke, but we work together. However, all of a sudden he's been showing signs of interest again, in weird ways, though we still don't talk. He's been irritable and moody lately, being rude and obnoxious toward others. He invades my personal space at times and we look at each other, though we don't speak. Does he have feelings for me?

Yes, I would say he definitely has feelings for you, but you mentioned he is an excessive drinker. Most "alcoholics" don't know how to express what they are feeling so they drink in order to hide what they are feeling. He doesn't know how to convey what is inside and it sounds like he possibly is trying to give up drinking this could account for the recent behavior. The problem is that yes it's good that he might be giving up drinking, but he still will have a difficult time relaying what he is feeling in a way you can comprehend.

You know in my opinion, for all it's worth, Move forward. Just like you have and don't get caught up in his tangled web.
There's reasons you two parted as you have said some in your post, there for when it does cross your mind,(Is there a chance we make get back together?) Just go back into memories.
That outta snap your mind back into reality.
It sound like you have acted out the same way any normal person would have , so don't put your self back into his way/ life again.
His loss not yours, beside he sure doesn't sound like he is much fun these days anyway.

Dude just move on why put up with his moods.
If he has issues let him get some help first it
would be the best thing for the two of you.

I don't think you want to be in a dysfunctional relationship
it will just not work. You can't help someone unless they
help them self first..

Good Luck

Do you care? He's sounds like he's got too much baggage and assorted problems he's carrying around. I'd let it go.
