As a young woman myself I find it hard to believe that alot of females today have an I don't care attitude when it comes to self-worth and respect. I constantly see young ladies singing these songs in which the singer or rappers are calling them bs and hos adn yet they are singing it like it was their anthem. But then they act suprised or are upset when that behavoir is directed at them. No I'm not saying this excuses the young men or men for their actions. But you pretty much say it's okay when you do things like what I mentioned above. And that is only one example. Their are many more. I would love to hear your thoughts.

Have you ever seen the type of person who calls themselves an idiot - making it impossible for someone to also call him an idiot without coming across as one himself?
In a way, I think that a really popular defense mechanism with people is accepting it before somebody makes you accept it. I see girls walking around all the time telling me they're wh*res, proudly stating that they're b**ches, etc.
It's a way of feeling like you're still in control when you're not. Women have come a long way from the days of corsets and abusive husbands...but they've also completely destroyed the thoughts of being "ladies".
Men are not raised to think of women as ladies who deserve respect. They're raised to view them as objects they should be boning. They want to see a pair of boobs, not enjoy the company of a lovely woman.
In conclusion(as another thought to ponder as I am), girls aren't sure of how to act at this point. Should they be a wh*re to get guys? or would it make more sense to be a lady? The gender roles are SO erraticly undefined at this point in time, that everyone is trying desperately to behave in the way they suppose they should without ever knowing how that is.

I saw an interview on Oprah on exactly the same question and apparently it's because these woman and young girls feel better when they are recognized and taken advantage of just because it helps their self esteem. It may seem hard to believe but the young women believe that even if a man disrespects her, it is better than not being payed attention to at all. They think "Oh, it's so much better that this guys is using me and in a way disrespecting me. I mean, if they couldn't do that, they wouldn't be paying attention to me at all."

Well, my thoughts are simple. These ways of thinking of women from this century are really stupid. I know women and girls who get guys with respect and stand up in dignity and I don't understand why some girls of today cannot do that...

Basically, I think people conform to society's expectations of them. They are not individualist enough to define themselves by their own merits. Plus, the media is ruled by capitalism and people seem to do anything nowadays to pursue the almighty dollar. Perhaps upbringing (or lack thereof) cause people to go astray. If lessons of self-love are not dominant in the household during childhood, those people likely grow up to be wreckless and disrespectful to themselves and others. They are victims of manipulation and haven't found a cure for themselves to get on the right track. When maturity emerges from within, or when something tragic happens is when they have an epiphany that their lives just aren't the way they need to be. That's when they start changing. I hope I have given you some good input. :)

Because MOST women love a$$holes. And secretly they want to be treated like crap. Being nice and treating someone decently all the time, opens yourself up to be walked all over. No woman respects and wants a man with no balls. Granted, they say they want the nice guy, but they will stick with an a$$hole who beats and degrades them out of "love". That all goes along the lines of wanting what you cant have.
