Common sense it essential to human living and you're Born with it (usually) with academic intelligence is aquired though... both are essential but i would say Common sense cause you can't have academic inteligence without that :D have a nice day :D

Really you need both. Either you are a book smart highly gullible individual or a street smart person that cant carry on an intelligent conversation with anyone in their lives. You need a balance of both intelligence and common sense.

i think u need to have common sense first before u can really be intelligent..besides why do u need to be incredibly smart in math and then turn around and walk out in front of a car!!!
