Chemicals are present in everything. Do you know how many chemicals make up the natural flavor of strawberries? More than a hundred! This is why artificial flavors don't taste quite the same - they don't contain ALL the chemicals present in the natural product. Chemicals are in both natural and artificial things. You're thinking that chemicals are only made by humans - that is wrong. Plants 'make' many chemicals we don't yet understand. Some are good, some are bad. It depends on the plant and the product.

Everyone else is wrong (except the second answer).
Although artificial stuff IS added, the most toxic chemicals - nicotine and hydrogen cyanide are NATURAL.

Also get over the idea that 'natural' and 'chemical' are mutually exclusive. Anything can be a chemical. Water is a chemical. Vitamins are chemicals.
