There are all kinds of religions, as well as beliefs. You do not have to be religious to believe in a "Higher Power", GOD. People have many names for GOD. Atheist believe there is no God, that is OK too. When tragedy comes the first they say is " Oh my God" reaching out to God for help. I do not think it is a good idea to push anyone's beliefs. You life style will speak for itself. Every one has their own unique way of believing, soul searching...

Oh, please ... you can do better than that. The believer thinks, but does not and cannot know, about the origins of blessings and grace (whatever that is -- is there any "there" there?) The atheist indeed has nobody to thank -- and needs none.

in answer to your question the differences are none actually.
one believes god exists, and the other believes god does not. each has faith that their beliefs are based on the "true religion." whatever tenets each accepts, that shape, reinforce and supports this belief, is just that...their true religion.
judge not lest ye be judged. do you remember that part of the scripture? stop being so judgmental.

Athiests are arrogant enough to think they know there is no God. "Believers" are arrogant enough to think they know there is a God, when in reality it's impossible to know. They are basically one in the same. No difference.
