What would your reaction be if a guy you were dating cooked you something but it turned out to be nasty whereas he enjoyed it?

Unlikely to happen, I eat everything! Really, I don't think there's anything I don't like eating, apart of course when it's truly burned or waaaaaaay too salty or whatever, but in that case it's unlikely he would enjoy it (unless you mean he pretends to enjoy it, not wanting to own up to his mistake :)).

I've been with my guy for a year and a half. Every now and again he gets the "stay outta my kitchen" kick. The first couple of times were barely edible (ramen, spam, and mayo). I ate some of it, thanked him profusely for cooking, and left it at that.

The next holiday that came around I got him a gift basket with a men's cookbook (I'm not being sexiest, that's what the cook book called it's self), an apron, some cookware, and a card that said something along the lines of, "I love it when you cook for me, I can't wait to try some of these recipes made by you."

He's always been killer on the grill, now I'm glad when he takes over the kitchen..if only I could get him to do dishes.

I would most defiantly let him know that i appreciated the effort but it just wasnt great.... i wouldnt just leave it at that though.. i would let him know why i didnt enjoy it... say he made it a little too spicy or it was kinda bland... i would try my best to give him some constructive feed back and not say how i feel in a hurt full way... unless the guy made it that way because he knew i didnt like it like my brother or a close friend that then i would really give him a hard time about it hehehe!

I'm not much of an eater anyway, but yeah, like the person who responded first, I'd enjoy it with him just cause he took the effort to make it for me .. pretend to be really full after a bit! ♫♡♫

my reatcion would be appreciative of the guy's effort. After all, taking a date to dinner at a restaurant is the norm, for a man to attempt a planned dinner at his home is sweet. even if he enjoyed his dish, "result" i would overlook the result and appreciate the gesture.

wouldnt mind. have to have an open mind that everyone has different taste palates.
my bf has cooked and it seemd quite odd to me, the taste, but enjoyed it due to he did it with care. so my mind made it happen, enjoyed it knowing he did that for me
its the dedication that matters, the effort

Well, it would depend on how well I knew the person..if I knew them well, I would tell them that I didn't really like it..but that they can keep eating it...but, if I didn't know that person well, I would be polite..and just not eat anymore..possibly tell them the whole truth...and leave it at that!

[girl on my boyfriends account] As a woman we must act as if it is good. The best thing we have ever tasted. I think that is in our nature to compliment on the one we love. God Bless.

It would depend on how long we were together. If it was new, I might endure it, if we had been together for a good while, well, I'd probably get out of eating it.
