A galaxy is a group of lots of stars. (Lots of meaning thousands of millions). All the stars orbit around the centre of the galaxy.

A solar system (like our own) is a bunch planets orbiting one star. There're many such systems out there, in various galaxies.

So, a galaxy is a group of stars, which may include many solar systems.

Accretion of matter is the process by which matter attracts matter (due to gravity) to become a massive object.

In relation to stars and galaxies, the accretion is what begins the formation of stars.

For sources... Wikipedia usually works, though it may be a bit hard to understand... plus check the bibliography thing

Hope it helps

Use Google. Put in the following words:
1) galaxy solar system definition
2) galaxy solar system difference
Same for other questions. Use the key words from your question and see what you find. If you get 12,000 hits and many are useless, refine your search by using "-" before a word to indicate you don't want that word. If I'm interested in river fords, I might put "-car" in the search.
