May I rephrise this. my wife has cheated before how long does it take for the hurt to go away. How do I put it behind me

work at it and be honest with "yourself" can you get past this if not remove yourself from your marriage and then start over somewhere fresh!
I will let you know I cheated on my first husband, because in truth I did not love him.
He was a good man but I felt I deserved better and I cheated!
Married the bastard who I cheated with so I GOT MINE IN SPADES!
but he also sued me for sexually battery, finally settled on a misdemeanor but it still follows me being a MD. Now and I really pay for the medical insurance by 5% over general cost!
"PAYBACK IS A *****" and I deserved it!

Go to some cheater websites, they have useful information. I had a situation where I was able to catch my wife before it got too far. I researched several things, it costs some money but gave me some peace of mind. It took me several months to get over it. And I still check up on her from time to time. I check her cell phone and look through her purse and car sometimes. I know that sounds bad but after it happens your just not sure sometimes. You can rent a GPS unit to put in her car, track her cell phone... stuff like that. You have to get smart and notice what's going on. She'll start to change her routines slightly. If you pick up on the little stuff you'll know right off.

You need to learn to trust again. if you want this marriage to last. Because thats what you need as your foundation.I would go to counseling and find out the reasons she cheated. To hire someone to track her or constantly looking over your shoulder is just going to put more stress on your marriage.
It takes alot of time to heal and your wife should understand this.

I advise you you need to hire a private detective
do not hire anyone for following your wife because it is a stalk which they are not trained good
