I don't think asking how long it takes will get you the right answer to your question. I really depends if you've completely settled all your physical and most importantly your emotional ties with that person, and that can take quite a while if you haven't truly voiced your thoughts. If not, then it can be comparable to guilt: if you don't admit to what's happened, it will build, no matter how much you try to cover it up. The only way of deliverance is to be true to yourself and ask yourself "am I truly over this person?" Don't kid yourself either, because you know you're not and the best way to fix that would be to just talk things out---even if you've already separated/divorced.

No way. Im trying it at the moment. You cant. But They will pass if its not good for you. Your gonna think about it. You cant make them go away. Theylle go away with time. Hopefully. Just try to stay busy. It might help a little.

Yes you can, as for how long it takes, you have to check the strength of you rown mind. If you push them out, you will essentially not care about them anymore. If you can do that, then it doesn't matter, jusr rememer "S/he Can die, it doesn't matter.
