I used the abortion pill... i took it at 2 pm, andi was in a lot of pain from 2:30-3:30. then i was okay again until about 6-6:30. other than that it is just uncomfortable because so much blood is coming out of you. i did this yesterday and today im feeling pretty good just hanging out on the couch. i would never wish it upon anyone, but i seem to be handling everything just fine. When I was at Planned Parenthood I had the option of having the surgical, but I didn't want to make my friend come get me. It will be emotional regardless.. but you speak to a counselor while you're there. Women have been terminating their pregnancies for 1000s of years.... the government should have no say in it... this just allows for a safer method for the woman.
Here is a good quote to remember during making your decision: "No woman wants an abortion as she wants an ice cream cone or a Porsche. She wants an abortion as an animal caught in a trap wants to gnaw off it's own leg." -Frederica Mathewes-Green
Anyone who leaves rude responses on here should take their energy somewhere else. Perhaps go be one of the annoying unwanted protesters outside planned parenthood :) And if you're a male with such strong opinions, you should just mind your own business!!!!

Well the Surgical procedure is really painful and God forsaken also takes care of the baby that day vs the pill will keep baby inside until pplacenta releases then you never know when he/she will abort the womb so basically if your in the store shopping after takign the pill you can have this baby on the floor and there is a BIG MESS to clean and you still will be in Pain.
Molly good 4 u sweetie. Congrats on your new little one coming!
about the heartbeat....this baby is alive and beating at 9 days old. so either way this is a living being and wants to be loved like we all do.

i thought about abortion when i first found out i was pregnant. i flipped. i was trying to find anyway out. i was one of those people who are against abortion untill its convenient for me. hypocrite...i know. i was going to do the abortion pill but i was too far along. i hear the surgical is somewhat painful but more times than not, youre out of it(so i hear). im 19 weeks pregnant now and im feeling the baby move at least once a day. its the best feeling in the world. im not trying to pursuade u to have the baby because i know how u feel. but if it were me, if u are very eary in the pregnancy and there is NO heartbeatyet...take the pill. but make sure this is what u want, i hear many women regret doing it after its done. go to www.plannedparenthood.com that tells u everything u need to know.

There are several surgical and medical procedures currently used to terminate preganancys.
Vacum aspiration is the satndard first-trimester surgical method of abortion. a womans cervix is dilated and a local anesthetic is applied. the procedure can be done up to approx. 10 weeks past a woman's last menstrual period. It can usually be preformed in a outpatient clinic.

Definately the abortion pill is better but continuous use can cause infertility... While it isn't painful it can make you feel very naucious
Surgically is dangerous, and the scar tissue you get can cause you to not be able to have kids, continous abortion is super dangerous and know a friend that got severe hemoraging.. it can also be painful
Why dont you just take birth control and prevent the pregnancy in the first place

I am not sure if you are a curious male or female, but there is plenty more to consider than pain. The pain is the least of the effects of discontinuing a viable pregnancy. The health and emotional health are much more important. I would suggest that you discuss this with both your clergy (if you have a religion) and your doctor. There is more to be considered than can be discussed in a few paragraphs.

Debrasearch gave you a lot of good info- The procedures are correct- and some of the side effects- however the risks are even more than these- torn uterus, miscarriages later- harder to get pregnant. Higher risk of breast cancer etc- emotional risks will cost you a lot as well- you will remember the day you took the life of your child- you will experience grief that can last a very long time, if not a life time. Please consider adoption or parenting- better for the baby- obviously and for you.
