Dear Sir,

Hi, this is Kat. As I know, there are three major monopolies in the United States that have plagued the American people throughout most of this century. Yet despite their professed opposition to monopolies, the American people simply cannot bring themselves to end them. But end them we must --- for they are among the most tyrannical and destructive aspects of the American welfare state, regulated-economy way of life.
I would like to know more about it.

Who are the monopolies in US? And, what are the remedies that can cushion the impact created by Monopoly? BTW, would you please explain the remedies in details. Thank you very much.

I hope that you can reply my message as soon as possible. Thanks again. I am looking forward to hearing from you soon.

Yours sincerely,
Kat

Wow, what a question. You say you know there are three major monopolies in the US, then ask who they are. Didn't you just say you know there are three of them? This sounds like a bunch of Communist propaganda bull crap, but nonetheless, I will try to give you an honest answer.

Yes, there are some monopolies in the US. Among the largest of them are utility companies. You will find that areas often have only a single utility company providing service to them, which is a form of monopoly. However, these monopolies are not destructive. They are known as natural monopolies because it is simply more efficient for them to be the sole supplier. Imagine fifty different competitors each stringing their lines through an area. The result would be somewhat messy. Yes, there are deregulation efforts taking place, but even with these, the competition will still likely remain low.

Perhaps you are referring to Microsoft. Yes, Microsoft has been accused of being a monopoly. It is true that they try to limit their competition, and engage in very aggressive marketing to accomplish this goal. But they are able to do this because they have successfully come up with a product that the consumers want. If they don't like windows, they can always purchase a Mac, which means they do have competition, meaning they cannot be a monopoly. Perhaps an oligopoly, but not a monopoly.

Then there is Wal-Mart, which is always being battered down. But there are other retailers as well. And if other companies can supply consumers wants at as low a price, there will be more competition. If they raise their prices, it will give incentive for others to come into the market, and thus keep them from exerting monopoly power. They do have other issues, but as far as being a monopoly, that is absurd.

There is significant anti-monopoly legislation that has been passed, such as the Sherman anti-trust act. When industries start to get out of whack, they are addressed.

The debtor is likewise allowed to sell belongings to a diverse participant with the intention to generate money to offer you. If the participant provide you with the money fee of the lease you ought to settle for it. If this is belongings then this is as much as you whether or to no longer settle for it. you additionally are allowed to make innovations of which belongings you will settle for to the participant - yet whilst they arise with the money then you certainly ought to settle for that. just to make sparkling - this is the equivalent of them promoting belongings to you, for a value you compromise and then providing you with that money returned as charge for the lease, so at the same time as the regulations do no longer formally allow you to take belongings particularly of money, they do enable the participant who owes you cash to sell their belongings to the economic employer or to a diverse participant, such as you with the intention to discover the money.
