You'll be the coolest teacher to those kids. They wont be scared. Kid's are open minded. It's not until people grow up that they become close minded and judgmental. I think they'll love it!

I'm sure the kids won't mind, but it's possible that some parents or school administrators might, or might look down on or group you in a certain way if you do. I think that's ridiculous, and you should be able to do what you want with your appearance to a reasonable degree, but I know in some schools they don't even want the teachers to wear certain clothes. If it's really the kids you're worried about, don't worry at all. But if you're worried about other teachers, parents, or the administration, try a test run or ask someone you work with what they think the reaction would be. Be cautious, because I'm sure you love your job and wouldn't want people in the school making your life difficult because they have some preconceived notions about people using bright colors on their hair.

Black hair with red highlights is an awesome look!

I don't know if you'll necessarily scare them, they're not babies...but you may upset some parents if you go too wild.

Try a toned down red and make it crazier as we get closer to Summer.

It wont scare the kids, in kintergarten I don't think they know what is "politically acceptable" as far as social standards for hair color... they are not yet jaded by conformist views and will only think your hair is fun the way the red will contrast with the black. Its funny how children can be far more accepting sometimes even though they are far more honest.

There are ways to make it look less choppy. If you go to a hair stylist, ask them to make it look more natural by sweeping the color in rather than using a cap or chunks of your hair in foils. I don't think that would scare your kids, they usually react well to creative things!

It depends on what kind of highlights you want. For a more subtle, refined look, go for a deep burgundy red. But, if you're going for crazy...go for the brighter colored reds.

No kids love that. I had bright purple/red hair and all the kids came up to me to look at me, one asked me if I was a clown.

depends on which shade of red you are using! if you go for mild tones then it wont be a problem but try not to go for shocking red! & also keep ur complexion in mind while choosing the hair color, it should compliment you

Try temporary, washable hair color for few streaks, and if you consider that it is well accepted, go for more permanent highlights.
