How about honesty?

"Hey Mom, Hey Dad. I did something I wasn't supposed to do and I am being punished for it. I'm sorry I did what I did and I feel that the punishment is in line with my offense."

As soon as kids start taking responsibility for their actions and stop acting like brats, we'll all be better off.

Hey, you know they're going to find out; it's better to fess up now and get it over with. And just come on out with the truth about why it was confiscated, and don't try to justify if you know you were in the wrong. (Were you text-messaging in class?) You may still end up with your parents taking it away for awhile, but they're probably going to have to discuss it with your instructor to get the phone back anyway.
Good luck, and listen to the teacher, not the phone, as long as you're in class.

I know it gets confiscated for 24 hours maximum for being switched on in the classroom. If you dont get it back within 24 hours then you need to talk to your parents about it.

I think I will just admit the truth rather than telling lies to my parents.Anyway,my parents will find out sooner or later. So why not just confess, maybe they will not be so hard on me.We must learn from our mistake and take responsibility of our actions.

just tell them it has been confiscated and accept your mistake.. the consequence is much worse if they find it out theirselves.

Just tell them because once you lie you have to tell many more lies to cover them up. and learn from your mistake.
