Try approaching him at the "right" time and mention "honey, I
noticed how you sometimes swear when you're upset and you
accidentally did in front of _____ the other day/night." "They
learn all the bad things from us as well as the good...can't we
start working on our examples -- the world is already a terrible
challenge for anyone to grow up in and we need to do our best."
Ha -- shorten it, but you get the idea -- sometime when he's
feeling like "a real Daddy & happy about it".

Nothing. That is too young an age for occasional words to stick. But it reminds me of a story. One evening, many years ago, I was trying to install an air vent in the ceiling of our house. When the screw went sailing across the room for the third time, I let loose with a suitable expletive. My nine-year old daughter, who was watching at the time, ran down the hall: "Mommy! Daddy used the F-word!" We managed to stifle ourselves; it was not easy.

well, the good thing is that, your child is still very young... but as parents, you should be responsible and cautious with your languages... though your child is still very young, remember also that it is the stage of learning... so next time, try to be more careful atleast for the learning of your child.

about your husband's actions, unfortunately you cannot do anything about it anyway.. just make sure those kind of situations can be agreed not to happen again.

Ahhh, the child is still a kid and doesn't know what it means. If you are afraid that this will happen again, talk to your hubby to stop all the swearing and give code words instead.

Chill. I am a Christian and know that accidents happen. My children do not swear and they are around grandparents who use that kind of language. Tell hubby to watch his mouth. Chill.
