i feel this is the case. america has, by and large, lost the work ethic it once had. too many folks feel that life is but a joke. jobs have been, for a number of years, sent to other countries. our old addage " a hard day's work for a decent day's pay" is no more. both the white collar class and the blue collar class are in it only for themselves. i hope future generations can save this great nation from itself. i am pessimistic, however.

I Like Your Appitude!!! I am Retired Now after 38 Years in Medicine. During those years I Witnessed Breaches in Policy and Proper Patient Care that Cost people Dearly. I Was Responsible For Teaching Foreign Medical Residents Technics That Would Make Them Better Doctors When They Graduated. I Am sorry to say that there was a Percentage of My Students Who "Goofed Off" During and after Class To the Extent that they were sent Home to their Country to wait for several years before they could Re-Apply For Medical School
---This Eventually Caused The Foreign Residency Program to be Severely Reduced!!! This And Other Hospital Policys Caused Me to Take an Early Retirement---BECAUSE LIFE WAS NOT THE BOTTOM LINE----Profit Rules NOW !!!! It is very SAD to see Professional People Turned to the "Dark Side" ESPECIALLY when LIVES are at risk.....I Still Keep My Hand in....Helping as Advisor,Associate, Mentor,Assistant,Teacher Etc. Wherever My Experience Can Help Those who are in or are interested in getting in the Medical Field....But there are those around me who ask me WHY I Still Bother to Get Involves at My age???(73) I Tell them,As I Know You Would, There are those of us Who Still HONESTLY CARE,Even if we never ever make another Nickle from Our Efforts...."Experience is the Best Teacher"---If I Can Motivate just one Person To be The Next Great Doctor---I Will have accomplished my Goal---Because through them I will Continue to SAVE LIVES WITH THE RIGHT ATTITUDE toward the Sick---Weather they are Rich or Poor---Makes No Difference---They Deserve the Right to A Long and Healthy Life,Without Selling Their Soul to get it !!! I Hope in What ever time is left to me on this Earth---That I may be Witness to a better Way of Life---Because we are Destroying this Planet, and Everyone On It as surely as God makes Little Green Apples!!! They Turn Their Backs on the Obvious Remedys---Blaming it always on the other guy---REMEMBER---We Always Pay for our Actions---Why must it Always be Paid by Us Who Care the most ???-----Signed---JEM

Well I know that I do not play at my job, nor does my husband. I think that if you do not give 100% at your job you are stealing. You were paid to to a job and you need to do it to the best of your ability. I will say that the younger people do have a way of making their jobs look fun and their is nothing wrong with having fun at work as long as you are working., It is proven that people that enjoy their work , actually work harder than people that do not enjoy their work. I think as people get older and more responsible they apply themselves more because they realize how important it is. I heard that Americans are working much harder now and putting in 50-60 hours a week out of choice and there is something to be said about that. I also think that when a job pays poorly, it should not expect a person to kill themselves at it. You get what you pay for. When people make a good wage then they had better work very hard and not screw up! I think that Americans are smart enough to figure this out.

Im only 22 years old and can agree with that. Im in hospitality management, and notice that a lot of the girls/guys that work for me sometimes drag through their work day but when its time to go out for the night or make plans for recreational purposes, its a completely different approach on the matter, they all of a sudden have tons of energy and enthusiasm. Not all jobs are meant to be fun, its life, you need to deal with it, but when half of our americans are handed things on a daily basis, what ethics and knowledge are they retrieving and being taught to actually work for things in life?

My boyfriend sent me a hyperlink to the blog from Kosovo. As a protection stress vet who served 2 excursions in Iraq, i might prefer to assemble Arkin from his posh, liberal place of work in DC, load him on a plane to Iraq, and make him serve a three hundred and sixty 5 days in the wasteland mutually as listening to the liberal media bash us and sense sorry for us whilst they have not have been given any clue what we actually do for a living and why it is significant to our united states of america. i might prefer to work out how he lives on 25 grand a three hundred and sixty 5 days with 3 young ones and tries to hold his head up intense whilst he buys milk with nutrition stamps. i might prefer to work out how he'd take care of the idiots in the front place of work of the privatized base housing who do no longer comprehend the thank you to respond to a telephone or call a plumber to repair a leaky roof. Then, and in basic terms then, will I study his dribbly blog. people like him could be deported.
