Both of us do.We are both adults and are in no need of a parents to tell us what to or not to do.We do are thing and if either one of us has beef with the others actions. We talk it out and try to find common ground.I know most people are going to say that one person or the othe is in control. And I am sure that is true for them. But those are also the same people you will eventually see on divorce court. We are been doing things this way for 17 years and we are still happy.

I am a 27 years old male, in my current relationship I am the leader and the guardian. But this seems to go a little bit further in depth than just my relationship with my girlfriend. For some reason I am the one that has to always step up and take charge in all endeavors of my life. Decision making always falls on my shoulders to make whether in my relationship on in everyday life. I find this troublesome at times. But in a relationship I do not think it should be who wears the pants, its how they are put on. The relationship is about two people not one persons decision making, that left society ages ago. This is a new world.

neither of us do. Or we both do... which ever way you want to look at it. Marriage is a 50/50 thing. One person shouldn't "wear the pants" in my opinion. We both make the money, we both pay the bills, we talk before we make any major purchase and both share our opinion with each other about everything. I think this is probably the general consensus.

I did for the first 15 years of our marriage.
I got tired of it and decided to relax and let hubby take over.
Plus my son needed some real Dad Discipline.
He has taken on the roll for about 10 years now and its working out great.
We was young when we married and I am a year older than hubby. So that is why I wore the pants for the first 15 years.
Then he finally matured enough. :-)

When I got married I was forced to wear the pants because although he was responsible in making money and never missing work he lacked making responsible decisions so I took over. I wanted to share the pants but wore them alone for too long and by the time he wanted to get involved it was too late to hand over the control. 24 years of marriage over because he made me wear the pants alone.

I would like to say me being the man and all, but I know she( my wife) has better decision making abilities in areas that I am not as good and vice versa. Pretty even at the end of the day really.

I'd say neither of us. We are partners and we are very good at trying to compromise. If one of you has to wear the pants, then something is wrong with your marriage.
