When I was younger it was hard for me to say no, so I would just say yes and not attend which caused hurt feelings to others. It took me a long time to learn that it is best just to say sorry, but am unable to make it.

I also did attend sometimes when I didn't want to, just because I felt obligated because I was invited, then I would get angry at myself because I would have rather been doing something else.

I guess my point is to politely turn down the invitation if you don't want to go and you feel relieved and the other people don't feel hurt by your not showing up when you said you would.

Yes if coming from a friend/person I like & respect
no if the invitation is extended by somebody I don't care much about

Wow. no longer the thank you to make acquaintances. i think of it become a very advantageous gesture on her section. for the reason that your daughters are acquaintances she only needs a gamble to get to be attentive to you. i think you experience which you do no longer choose acquaintances. i might welcome the possibility. that's one afternoon at the same time. i do no longer think of it is going to cut back into too a good number of your very busy social time. i don't be attentive to that there is the thank you to coach it down without sounding delinquent. i think you ought to declare which you're busy spectacular now with the trip journeys. you ought to do it using fact she would be able to probably shop asking till you assert particular. you would be stunned and are available across a clean pal.

Not really....my preferences are rather reclusive anyway. often enough I really do have something else to do, but considering how i think and where i live at the moment, only a few people are included in my life, so i actually appreciate things offered, though if i have something planned, i simply say so.....
(Great question by the way)

depends on who is inviting me... if i like the person, that i am pretty much incapable of saying no to anything, i don't want to miss out on anything!! but if i don't like the person all that much, it's really easy- rather get out of an invitation than torture myself. ♥

It depends on who is doing the inviting and what I am being invited to do.

Example:

"Hey, do you make make mad passionate love?"

"Sounds interesting"

"I've always wanted to make love as I was falling from an airplane."

"Interesting?"

"No parachute, just falling...."

"...I'll have to get back to you on that one."

Not at all!!! I don't like going out to social events, much preferring more intimate get-togethers.
