What happen to us if the Earth decides to rotate on the right...
Will we have a big Earthquake and bad weather and all?

What happen if planets crash into each other?

How does the Earth stay far from the Sun, what if it
hits the Sun?

Left/right don't apply to rotation.

The earth spins east to west or counterclockwise if viewed from above the northern hemisphere. The earth can't stop rotating in it's current direction with an outside force acting on it.

If planets collide then there is a big crash? Planets are in fixed orbits so unless some outside force acts on them or the sun, they won't collide.

Physics is doing all this, whether you believe physics is the work of God or not is your business.

Why ask why? The scientist describes reality...He doesn't waste time questioning its meaning. Why is usually a whine or a critcism. The scientist asks "How?"

The Earth's rotational direction was set at the birth of our Solar System.

The Earth cannot decide anything. It has no volition or free will. It follows Physical Laws and principles.

We will have big Earthquakes and bad weather and all if things remain as they are.

If the Earth had its rotational direction changed then we would not survive the cataclysmic force that was the causality of the event. We will never live to see it. So the question is moot.

If the planets crash into each other then they are blasted into kingdom come. (It won't happen in your lifetime...don't worry)

The Earth stays far from the Sun because it has angular momentum. If the Earth hits the Sun I'll be dead well before it happens (Along with everyone else.) So the question is moot. Actually it would take a catastrophic event to cause that to happen. The energy involved would be enormous to alter the Earth's orbit about the Sun.

Atheists don't believe in God so their answer would be, "No, God is not doing this (whatever "this" means in your question) because He does not exist".

Can "Evolution" solve what? Evolution is a theory that some people believe. Evolution does not have free will and volition and therefore cannot solve anything.

1. The Earth is rotating around an axis (called its rotational axis). Some objects rotate about a horizontal axis, like a rolling log. Some objects, such as a skater, rotate about a vertical axis. The Earth's axis is tipped over about 23.5° from vertical.
The deadly Asian earthquake may have permanently accelerated the Earth's rotation--shortening days by a fraction of a second--and caused the planet to wobble on its axis.

2. There are theories that Earth's moon was actually created by such a collision, though it's only a theory. Basically, there are two options when planets collide. The smaller is pulverized, or the larger is knocked out of orbit.

3. The earth stays away from the Sun because of the carefully balanced gravitational pull of our solar system. If the earth were to hit the sun it'd be complete devastation for not only Earth, but the remaining planets.

... I am a christian, but I think that Astronomy is hardly the best way to disprove evolution.

The earth turns to the left only as viewed from above the north pole. As seen from the south pole, it turns to the right. The direction of rotation makes no significant difference; if it rotated the other way, the sidereal day would be eight minutes longer. If two planets collide, both would probably be destroyed, but nothing of the kind has happened in the past four billion years and there is no reason to suppose that it will ever happen in the future -- their orbits do not intersect. The earth and the other planets remain in their orbits due to their inertia, just as a ball on a string would stay in orbit around your head were you to swing it by the string; the string supplies the force to the ball, as the sun's gravity does to the earth. And god has absolutely nothing to do with any part of it -- every bit of the foregoing is freshman college physics.

1. What do you mean "to the right"? The direction of rotation of the globe depends on your position on it. Be that as it may, the planet will continue to rotate as it does unless it is stopped by collision with a very large asteroid.

2. The planets in our solar system cannot crash into each other. There is no way they could.

3. The Earth orbits the Sun because of gravity. As long as its speed of orbit is maintained, it cannot crash into the Sun.

4. Evolution has nothing whatsoever to do with any of this. This is cosmology not biology. Evolution deals with the change of alleles over time. It is not concerned with planetary orbits.

By the way, evolution is accepted by the vast majority of Christians, Muslims, Jews, Hindus, Buddhists etc. It is only the minority fundies that don't accept science.

Conservation of rotational momentum is why. Once it has started it keeps on going - so to speak. It can't change unless a larger amount of energy is somehow transferred to Earth, and which has it's rotational momentum in the other direction.

Two planets hit each other ? Big mess ! Rotational energy is conserved.

If something equally big hit us from a direction opposite to our motion we would fall into the sun - our rotation keeps us from falling into the sun - visualise a weight on the end of a string, and spin it. The weight is always trying to escape. Our rotation around the sun balances the gravitational pull from the sun, so we orbit.

Note, if the above happened, most loose things on Earth would take off into space - very dead, of course !

No God is necessary to explain physics.

The Earth is rotating at over 1000mph and weighs 6,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 Kg. "and gets heavier everyday" This measure of kenetic energy of the earths rotation is (1/2)m*v^2 This is 3*10^30 Joules. 1 million TONS of TNT has the explosive force of 4.186 * 10^15 Joules. Thats means the earth is moving around its axis with the energy of about 2 MILLION TONS of TNT!!! and has a momentum of 6,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 Kg/mph WOW that is alot of zeros!

It you suddenly stopped the earths rotation everything else ON the earth would continue to rotate at that speed. Including the oceans. Everything would instantly drown. The continents float on an ocean of molten lava and they would all continue to move as well. You would have gigantic rifts between tectonic plates huge supermassive flows of lava would come out. In subduction zone the plates would slip under each other and entire continents would dissapear. Nothing would survive.

The planets would never crash into earth their orbits dont overlap. But this has happened in the past with earth in a collision with a mars sized planet. This is how the moon was created.

The earth stays in orbit due to its velocity, momentum, and gravity forces that they exert on each other.

As as far as God goes I cannot give you any advice on that its all a matter of personal beliefs.

Evolution has nothing to do with the earths rotation, or orbital paths but has everything to do with life on earth

PS there are soooo many zeros in the answer above that yahoo wont let me type them all

1. No the earth wont turn right because of its tilted axis.
2. I don't think they will the Sun's orbit is very strong
3. The earth stays away from the sun by the sun's orbit its keeps it at an astronomical length if an asteroid were to knock earth out of that orbit we would go spiraling to the sun yes and we would all die.
4. Me, Being an theist I do not believe in god nor evolution this is all the cause of nature and easy prediction it is neither god's nor evolutions fault it is simply the way the world works

Earth will not decide to turn right. It could do that if there was an impact or something.

They would destroy each other. But that won't happen

It can't hit the sun, not as long as Earth will rotate on it's orbit.

If it turns right and you make a 180% turn you will rectify it.
They would annihilate each other in a spectacular way.
It stays away to maintain it;s existence,it uses an invention of newton.
The circumstances that orchestrates all this are adherence to a strict set of rules.
The universe is an evolving entity so evolution seems to be doing the right thing.
