I think all you people saying "why buy it when you can download it?" are pathetic.
BANDS NEED US TO BUY CDS to survive and continue to make music..... i have 400 cds, and i can tell you, they sound SO much better when you actually earn them and pay for them.... sure download to see if its good or not, then buy.... but ppl like that gangsta gizmo and the girl under him are thieves, nothing more.
And to answer your question man, i think you should buy some of these as you mentioned metal, not all new, but still great;
Amon Amarth - With oden on our side (new cd from them, growly vocals but melodic metal music, great stuff)
Machine Head - Through the ashes of empires
In flames - Whoracle (great heavy melodic stuff)
Megadeth are releasing a new cd around mid-may called "united abominations", its gonna be great
also, old school 80s metallers "saxon" released their new cd "the inner sanctum" great stuff.

The final criminal CD i offered became into metallic Church's Masterpeace. this is nice so a techniques, astounding guitars and drumming yet enable down by using the lead singers vocals yet I nevertheless reccomend it!!! I even have unhappy information for you nonetheless as i'm going to be downloading slightly to any extent further reason I even have offered a honest few cd's these days & i purely won't have the ability to have the money for anymore. If I do like them i visit at last purchase the product. MQ: until now metallic Church it became into suitable South's Blue Is the colour. It became right into a cd I had constantly needed and it became into going low-priced on EBay so i'm happy I did reason it rather is purely paintings in lyrical songwriting. BQ: i'm purely familiar with Falkenbach & Absu yet the two are astounding bands!!!

The new NIN is dropping soon I think it may be this weekend and that is going to be a kickass album. Also Nickelback is good and all Nirvana albums are good. Oh the rap side I think that Pitbull's album "El Mariel" is really good. good luck hope you find the one you want!

hmmm...a great old school hip-hop band that actually sang about meaningful things was Digable Planets. definitely check those guys out.
for metal, i strongly suggest Opeth.
for punk, i'd say Black Flag, Crass, and (old) AFI

Don't buy CDs. You can get free music from Limewire. I haven't spent money on music since 2001!
