a good website for looking up meanings of things, not words but?

things like what it means if you sneeze three times in a row, or if you wear a dress other than white at your wedding. some people call them old wives tales, but some people have to have collected all these bits of info on some website somewhere....so do you know any good ones? there are a couple bets i have about a few of them and we are trying to settle them. theres a bunch or id list 'em here.
