please help me .. i need to share files on my home pc through lan ..

i hav 2 dsktps and a wi fi enabled hp laptop at my home ,all of them are running on media center ...and has norton internet security 2006 installed .
they are connected to internet via netgear 54 mbps wireless router {{{ desktps through straight cat5 cables and laptop through wireless }}} ......
internet connection is working fine ........ but i am not able to share or access files .

all hav the same wrkgrp name , but whn i click on the workgrp it says tht workgrop is not accessible or you may not have the permission ......

please help .....

Go into My Computer and right click on the folders you want to share on the network (LAN and WAN will both see them).
Click on File Sharing and Security and turn it on.
Then try to look at them from the other client machines on your network.
Also check the DHCP table in the router using Internet Explorer with the setup IP address (192.168.0.1) or whatever your manual says to use, and see if all three computers are listed.

the telephone line is going into the back of your modem the place it says DSL. One end of one ethernet cable is going into the back of your modem and the different end is going into the WAN port on the back of your router. you will choose a minimum of one extra ethernet cable to pass out of your laptop's ethernet port to the back of the router. If there are different desktops, they connect with an ethernet cable that connects from the laptop's ethernet port to the router. you will of path would desire to connect the modem and router to the flexibility grant
