99 George Mikan..highest number ever /and/ possible..you cannot have anything higher..
right now it's 93 for Artest..but he also wore 98 with the Pacers before he was traded..

If you look up retired jersey numbers, retired jersey number 832 belongs to Cotton Fitzsimmons, but he was not a player, he was a coach for the Pheonix Suns, 832 was the number of wins he retired with.
