If you have a Sally Beauty Supply in your area they carry false lashes there and a booklet to help you get started. Ardell#109 and #110 are very popular and natural.
I reccommend not getting self adhesive lashes..they peel off.
you want to gently, take the eyelash off the plastic, and flex it. See if the eyelash needs to be trimmed up by holding it up to your eye..if you take it in the center *with a tweezer or your finger)and align with the center of your eye then you should be able to tell.
Take the glue and apply a pinhead size dot on your hand and run the sticky part of the fake lashes through it. You don't want to aply to much glue. Just enough to put a thin line on the lashes and be sure to get the corners. wait 30 seconds or so,the glue should be tacky and put them up to your lashline and tuck the coners securely.
I love false lashes. I also curl my lashes before I apply fake ones. When I am all finished I even apply mascara to give it extra. It blends my lashes in with my fake lashes. This look does take practice. When I first started it wasnt great.. but now its so easy.

If you get strip lashes, you can actually get a device that holds them while you apply the glue and then put them on...as close as humanly possible to your actual lashes. Individual lashes are a little trickier. You apply each one with tweezers, the end dipped in eyelash glue...all while remembering to stick them as close as possible to your lashline.

Buy the brand that has already glue (or adhesive band) on the inner side, and gently push them by your fingertip or by the end of a cotton swab to the natural line of your lashes.

The strips of lashes are tricky for sure, and the look tacky. Try cutting the strips and gluing smaller pieces on. It will be easier and look a lot more natural!
