I call friends on the phone, or chat with them online. depends on my mood really. sometimes I listen to music, sleep, watch T.V. Eat my faforite type of desert, ohh yeah that tasts good.

I talk with the people I trust.
Family, close friends, heck, even stuffed animals.
I say what's making me sad and the more I talk about it, the less sad I feel.
Talking has always helped the people in my family.
But so has writing, drawing and jogging.

Different things work for different people.
What ever makes them happy normally draws them out of their blue moods.
