letting nature take its course.
If the baby is in danger or well past the due date, then the doctor will decide when the time is right.
Besides the majority of self induction methods have been debunked.

I was induced with all three of my babies. The doctor knows whats best and knows when the baby is healthy enough to come out. I wanted to experience the whole "natural" thing at least once though. It mat sound wierd but I really wanted to see what it felt like to have my water break...the whole nine yards. But during my 1st preg....my son just did not want to come out....i was two weeks past my due date so I was induced. Then with my 2nd I was hurting alot. I was admitted a couple of times for fluids. The third time my little girl was under stress...so once again induced. The doctors know what they are doing and for any reason that you are uncomfortable or question your doctor please get a second opinion. But I think that you should go with the natural. My tubes are tied now so I cant have no more kids. The only thing that I really wanted out of my pregs was a natural birth.......So I stronly suggest that unless your baby or you is in any danger to go for the natural birth. Good luck and i hope that my input has helped you.

Inducing labor is much more painful than letting nature take it's course. But if the doctor thinks it's best to induce then he can also give you something for the pain. Just try to grin and bear it. And GOOD LUCK!

let nature run it's course. My doctor induced labor with my first baby and I ended up having a c section. I let nature do its thing and delivered my 2nd and 3rd vaginally.

Let nature run it's course. If the baby is still in there, he or she must be in there for a reason.
